The CSJR concluded its tenth anniversary by inviting its members to a community dinner right before its General Assembly. Jean Duquaire, former participant to victim-offender encounters, launched his campaign for restorative justice in favor of the CSJR. Ready, set… Go, support him!

On the occasion of the National Victims of Crime Awareness Week (3rd week of April), the CSJR hosts a yearly artistic event: Art for Freedom: Life after Crime. The 2012 exhibition took place from Wednesday April 25 until Sunday April 29 at Montreal. An art-therapy workshop also took place on April 29.

A series of six victim-offender encounters dedicated to incest are coming to a close at the Montée Saint-François institution in Laval (near Montreal). A last meeting is planned in three months to allow participants to evaluate their progress together.

As a member of the Outils de paix network, the CSJR took part in a day-long event of the yearly Global Human Rights Education Program organized by Equitas. A rewarding meeting with 120 educators for human rights coming from 60 countries. Also see: HYPERLNK www.outilsdepaix.org.
